Volunteer Opportunities

Voter Support Squad

On Election Day, Everytown Voter Support Squads in each state will help make sure local voters are able to stay in line and cast their ballots. Each squad will monitor social media and the local news to keep tabs on any issues of lines or voter access at local polling locations—and, if needed, they’ll be dispatched to distribute water, coffee, and snacks so that people can stay in line to vote.

Poll Worker

In the midst of a nationwide poll worker shortage due to coronavirus, Everytown is partnering with Power the Polls to inspire 250,000 low-risk and diverse poll workers to staff in-person voting locations during early voting and on Election Day.

Poll Monitor

Everytown is joining forces with The Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law—the nation’s largest non-partisan voter protection coalition—to engage volunteers as poll monitors as part of its Election Protection program. Poll monitors will promote transparency and openness on Election Day by monitoring for issues that may arise across the country, and directing voters in need to Election Protection’s national voter hotlines.
