The Everytown Implementation Center provides support and guidance to state and local leaders on the effective implementation of lifesaving gun laws.

The Center builds on Everytown’s legal, research and advocacy expertise to help states and localities develop comprehensive plans to ensure effective implementation of gun safety laws. Enacting strong gun laws is only the beginning of our work to protect all communities from gun violence and focusing on implementation of these laws will help realize their full potential to save lives.

Our Approach

The Center’s experts engage in a wide range of activities to support effective and equitable implementation of gun safety laws, including:

• Identifying gaps in implementation of common sense gun laws
• Developing innovative approaches to ensure robust and sustainable implementation
• Supporting state and local efforts to implement gun laws through technical assistance, research, and training
• Engaging in public education to elevate awareness about key gun laws
