We collaborate with athletes and professional sports teams to elevate our work being done in communities and amplify our work nationally. Our Athletic Council is composed of athletes across all major sports leagues. We regularly engage these coalitions with survivors and community violence interruption organizations by inviting them to attend volunteer events to highlight the work being done.

My Cause My Cleats

Players of the National Football League choose a cause to support each year with #MyCauseMyCleats. In 2022, Jake Elliott, Shaun Bradley, Haason Reddick, Rasul Douglas, Darrick Forrest, De’Jon (Scoota) Harris, Brian Robinson Jr., Diontae Spencer, Larrell Murchison, Tyrie Cleveland, Martin Emerson Jr., and Sam Williams (shown above) all chose to support Everytown and showcase gun violence prevention on their cleats.

WNBA Players on Secure Gun Storage

The WNBPA partnered with Be SMART to bring a critical message to parents. The PSA included current and former WNBA players: Rebecca Lobo, Napheesa Collier, Layshia Clarendon, Cheyenne Parker, and Jayne Appel Marinelli.
