Cherrell Green (she/her/hers)

Dr. Green is the Associate Director of Engagement and Assessment at Everytown for Gun Safety. She leads the development and execution of targeted grantee engagement strategies and community-based participatory research.  Dr. Green is a qualitative researcher by training, with scholarly work examining the intersections of community violence and trauma and its impact on the lives of Black Americans. Before Everytown, Dr. Green served as a Research Associate at the Vera Institute of Justice, Senior Research Associate at Justice System Partners, and an Instructor at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis teaching Criminology coursework. Dr. Green holds a Bachelor’s magna cum laude in Criminal Justice from Adelphi University, a Master’s in Criminal Justice from the University at Albany, SUNY, and a Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis.
