VIDEO: How the industry is contributing to the gun violence epidemic and what we’re doing to hold it accountable.

Twenty years ago, America’s largest gun manufacturer, Smith & Wesson, promised the White House it would make its products safer. But after facing a boycott cheered on by the NRA and gun makers, Smith & Wesson walked away before the deal could ever be implemented.

Two decades later, gun manufacturers have developed increasingly deadly weapons, even though 120 Americans are killed and hundreds more are wounded with guns every day, and gun deaths in America have surged by 70 percent.

Instead of being part of the solution, too many gun dealers and manufacturers have chosen to be part of the problem — all while gun industry lobbyists try to weaken our laws.
