The Everytown Community Safety Fund proudly partners with our grantees, with the support of Everytown’s staff and volunteer networks, to empower grantee-led advocacy campaigns to unlock necessary support and resources. Everytown Community Safety Fund staff also engages with elected officials, executive agencies, membership associations and empowered influencers to raise awareness about the transformative work of community-based violence intervention programs and share effective ways to support and enhance their impact.

Federal Government

This Congress and the Biden-Harris Administration have supported community violence intervention programs at a historic level, and Everytown Community Safety Fund staff and grantees have been at the forefront of the fight, alongside our survivors, volunteers and national partners. President Biden has affirmed the value of this work by signing the American Rescue Plan Act—which provided $130 billion in support to states and localities, support that can include funding of community violence intervention programs—and signing the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, which includes $250 million in dedicated grant funding for community-based violence intervention programs.

State Government

The Everytown Community Safety Fund team also collaborates across Everytown departments to support efforts by governors, attorneys general, executive agencies and state legislators to establish sustainable funding and technical assistance opportunities as well as develop coordinating agencies to ensure equitable delivery of resources to community-based violence intervention programs. Since 2022, Everytown has partnered with communities to unlock more than $1.3 billion in violence prevention funding across more than 26 states and the launch of four Gun Violence Prevention Offices.

Local Government

With over 82 grantees currently working in more than 60 cities around the country, the Everytown Community Safety Fund team frequently supports grantees as they engage with local government and funders, navigate local funding streams and amplify their organizational impact and needs. This includes preparing and joining our grantees during engagement with mayors, city councils, local health departments, and law enforcement,to amplify the impact of their life saving work, identify opportunities for collaboration and drive more support to community-based violence intervention programs.

Corporate Stakeholders

The Everytown Community Safety Fund ultimately hopes to position our grantees to sustain and scale their programs by accessing additional support from government, philanthropy and corporations. Our team works across Everytown departments to identify and engage corporations, professional sports teams, and private funders, who are committed to contributing to community-led efforts to make our communities safer. This has included direct support from corporations, professional players’ association and several sports teams as well as collaborative convenings to celebrate local grantees.
